Started yesterday and am loving this site. Was very surprised to find out how many sugar grams I was eating a day. Diabeties runs in both sides of my family, and I would like to avoid that fate if possible.

I went to a nutritionalist last year and was suprised by the sugar intake also! He told me that our bodies only need between 10-15 teaspoons of sugar per day! If you want an easy way to calculate how many tsp of sugar you consume per day, take the total carbs listed on the food label, minus out the fiber and divide by 5. maybe you already knew this but if not I hope this helps.0
