Hi all,

I am a vegetarian, and looking for good suggestions for protein powders, as well as pre and/or post work out supplements.

I currently use a lot of Vega products, but they're pricey and I'd appreciate more economical options. Also looking for some pre-work out ideas to help increase my energy and workout performance.

I also like to do a lot of my shopping online, and am in Canada. If you also know good websites that ship to Canada, I'd love to hear them. I currently use Vitasave a lot.

Thanks!!

whey protein concentrate or isolate is your best bet. Make sure it doesn't have fillers. Each scoop should contain 80% or more protein by weight. Avoid brands that tout added BCAA, as they're likely selling you cheap junk and amino spiking it to make it look good.

for a pre workout, I take caffeine, never really needed an actual preworkout, but making your own will be the cheapest. You can research which ingredients are commonly in preworkouts, and then go to examine.com to judge for yourself if they're actually proven effective.

for post workouts, just eat some carbs and protein, there's nothing special about it otherwise.
