I'm new to lifting and I would really like to incorporate some strength training into my exercise regimen. What are some fairly simple beginner moves I can do with dumbbells or a kettle bell that are really effective when it comes to toning my arms, butt and abs? Thank you!

Have a look at Stronglifts, Starting Strength, and New Rules of Lifting for Women. All are superb for beginners and are really progressive.

There are also groups on MFP for women that lift - a general one, and one each specifically for those following the Stronglifts, or New Rules programmes, so do pop along and join one or more of these and you will get loads of support from other lady lifters!

^Ditto. Also, StrongCurves is good - and has a bodyweight only program for true beginners.
