Best cure to shin splints? Obviously icing but anything else ?

Best cure is the one your doctor recommends for you.

when i used to run long distances, especially outside because that seemed to be rougher than a treadmill, i would wear these. they completely alleviated my shin pain! i highly recommend them!!0 -

The best cure is to stop or cut back on whatever it is that you're doing to get them. You're probably doing too much too soon.
Now for a reasonable cure, icing after exercise helps. You could also make sure you don't have 3,500 miles on your shoes. There's so much information on this topic. Check out runners world.
