Greetings from VA.

My name is Kelly. In two days I will be 47. I live in Virginia with my husband, daughter, two dogs, and 13 chickens.

I began my journey to better health in January of 2014 at 282 pounds. Through eating healthy, weight lifting, and exercise, I lost 90 pounds. Since December of 2015, I have gained 30 back. I now weigh 216 pounds. My goal is 150. I will achieve my goal.

Anyway, y'all will be hearing a lot from me. I need support! Thanks, y'all ;-)

    Hello, I am 47, too, at 185 now, trying to get to 159. I joined mfp in January. I married a Virginian, which is almost as good as being a Virginian by birth, right?!

    Good Morning,
    My name is Shelia, I am 49. I live in rural southwest Virginia and began my weight loss journey at 310 pounds in 2013. I have maintained the weight of 196 for about a year now but am ready to become more fit and lean. I would like to weigh 175. I am single and have an eight year old son who is my motivation to become a more healthy me!

    Hey shelia!
    Congrats on the weight loss. Like you, I started at 320. Got down to 209 but started to sputter. I'm back to 233 but determined to get under 200.

    My nephew live with me and will need some help creating a healthier lifestlye for himself as well.What do you recommend for young boys? I'm looking for suggestions on recipes for young childen and exercise ideas. Thanks!
