I get up at 5:30 am and go to work. My job is all the exercise I need. I usually hit 14k steps about the time I get home in the afternoon. But then three nights a week I go to the dojo for 2 hours of workout to add to it. Bed by 9 or 10 PM unless the next day is my day off.

I get up at 7:10 after my first snooze alarm. Get my daughter off to school at 7:55. I don't want to think about a life where I need to be up at 3 in the morning to workout. I generally get my workouts in after the kids go to bed at 7:30 pm.

I used to try exercising in the morning and I just can't. I hate every second of it. I work from home so I usually skip the morning shower, work out on my lunch break, and then shower after that.

I was wondering what time everyone gets up in the morning to make sure you get exercise in

7:45 am ... just enough time to shower, dress and be ready to do a brisk walk/slow jog to catch the bus. That's my early morning exercise. :)

My next bit of exercise occurs about half an hour later when my bus arrives in the city ... another brisk walk to work + 5 flights of stairs.

If all goes according to plan, I'll do another 20 flights of stairs before lunch.

Then lunch is another brisk walk for 45-60 min + 5 more flights of stairs.

Then I begin my afternoon exercise ...

Up at 4:00 ish, before the alarm, on weekdays. Gives me time to put wood in the wood stove, read the news and have a cup of coffee before heading out at 5:00 for a 5:30 crossfit class.

Up at 5:30am, shower, eat breakfast, prep lunch, out the door at 6:30 no later to be at work at 7. Get off work between 4 and 4:30pm and do my work out then.

I would hate having to get up even earlier than I already do...

Hi! My alarm is set for 530 am and from there the only thing between me and my workout is a walk to my living room.

I used to struggle wit this and If time is an issue for you then doing home workouts can be most efficient. The time it would take getting prepared and to the gym would cut seriously into my workout time (I have an hour tops for scheduled workouts each weekday).

I'm a huge fan of YouTube dvd's and this app called workout trainer. You can do very advanced workouts at home. One thing I would stress is good form. Make sure you study and learn it. Good luck!
