There are so many recipes on Pinterest! I'm going to make an onion dip that's basically Greek yogurt, garlic, and sautéed onions and eat it with celery and carrots. There's also a buffalo chicken dip recipe that's shredded chicken, hot sauce, and Greek yogurt that you can eat with celery and carrots

It's one day. People fret so much about one day derailing everything they've done. If it's such a concern, then one shouldn't attend a party.

Well I fall into the fret as many others. Love your attitude though!

I've been on MFP since early December. I've been coming up with low-cal alternatives since day 1. Here's my most recent...Jalapeno popper substitute. Halve Jalapenos and remove seeds/ribs. Shred 1 medium zucchini, and dab/press with paper towel until most moisture is removed. Add an egg, 1.4cup cheddar, 1/3cup feta, 1/4 cup green onion, and about a tbs of minced garlic. (I also added a few squirts of hot sauce, since I like things with ZING!).

Spoon mixture into peppers (size of peppers will dictate how far the filling goes). Pop in the oven (I found low temps to tender-up the peppers, followed by a few minutes of broiler time to crisp things up worked best). From what I logged, this recipe was under 30 cal/popper...and delicious!

I love jalapeño poppers! That alternative sounds really yummy!! I've got a low calorie dip I'm going to make and eat with some veggies. I'm also going to bake some wings with a dry rub. Wings are not that low cal, but it's the super bowl. I'm going to let myself splurge a little. Just make sure I get some exercise in earlier in the day.

allrecipes.com is a great source. Personally, I'm taking a pork tenderloin to the party and going to eat moderately without going for second. Enjoy it! it is once a year!

So many days, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Years Day, New Years Eve, Your Birthday, your Spouse's Birthday, your Kid's Birthdays, your Parent's/In-Law's birthdays, Forth of July/Memorial Day/Labor Day picnics, vacations and what have you. How could we EVER lose weight with all that pressure? Easy, don't lose complete control, keep track of what you are enjoying and once you meet, or slightly exceed, your calorie goals STOP. We can all have a good time, enjoy the Holiday, whatever it is, without gorging ourselves.

After several weeks of monitoring our intake, we all have a pretty good idea of what is too much. We all have a pretty good idea that we are going overboard while we are doing it. One day a month will not de-rail your weight loss goals. Especially if we can keep that "bad" day somewhat under control. Be "good" most of the time, don't lose control on the others and you should be fine. A slice or two of pizza once in a while, not bad. A whole pie... ;-)

Enjoy the Super Bowl and the party. Keep track of your intake and maintain control. Keep it within shouting distance of your calorie goal. You'll recover as you won't be so far from where you should be.

I was thinking about mini turkey burger sliders wrapped in lettuce, kale chips and baked sweet potato chips with hummus for myself.. You can do a fruit and veggie spread. And you can make a healthy virgin strawberry coconut daiquiri for a treat.. :)

Honestly though, don't worry too much about it. Just watch your portion control and keep track. Make sure to bring a healthy alternative and just enjoy yourself. :)

Food is my enemy! Always using it as a means of entertainment, hard not to. But I agree, one day isn't that bad every once in a while. Although it's nice to find those recipes for everyday use!
