Macros and TDEE help!

I used a website to calculate my macros and it put my calories up from 1200 (what I wanted) to 1446. I feel uncomfortable eating that many calories as I had no trouble with the 1200 at all. Do you think I could do the 1200 and still be successful with moderate activity level and keeping my macros the same as what the calculation gave me?
Also, my TDEE is 2062. What does this mean exactly? I thought it was the amount of calories I should eats on resting days but this makes no sense to me. Am I wrong?

Why eat 1200 when you're going to lose on more? You have no where to go with 1200. That's it. You can't eat any less. Pick a goal you can adhere to and be consistent with.

TDEE is your total daily energy expenditure. It is the amount of calories you would neither gain weight or lose weight on. You create a deficit from this number.
It is an average of your activity over the week. It accounts for your active days and your resting days.
If you are eating 1200, that means you are at over 800 calorie per day deficit.0 -

Well, you'll lose about a pound per week with the 1400. Seems sustainable to me. What do you think?0 -
My goal (and I've been successful with losing the weight/fat/inches & keeping it off for 4 years now) eating as MANY cals as I can while still losing weight. Going for the bare minimum gets old fast, is rarely sustainable, and as a previous poster said, when you're already at the minimum, you've got nowhere to go.
If it were me, I'd take a 20% cut from your TDEE, make that my goal and aim to hit it every day. Give it at least 4 weeks before making any changes, as it can take the body awhile to adjust to a new intake. If you're losing, stay the same. If you're gaining or staying the same, drop it by another 100 cals or so and give it another few weeks. Keep exercising, drinking your water, taking rest days and getting good sleep. Also a good idea to take measurements and some photos for reference, because the scale can be a dirty little liar and mess with your head with it's screwy numbers. Measurements are a true test.0 -

Yeah that's good. I was going for the 2lbs but that's pretty out there when I think about it lol0 -

Yeah, I mean with 40 lbs to lose it wouldn't be unheard of to choose two pounds. It's really about what is comfortable and what will work for you long term.
