Slipping up

So I'd been doing pretty well for January, but today, whether cos of being tired and gloomy or a bit hungover i decided to be bad and go gorge on stuff from the local shop.

now i feel more gloomy. any advice on these things.

at least its the weekend so i'll have company and i'm too broke now to get more stuff after buying books

    Yes. It happens. We all screw up.

    The key is to learn from the experience and put a strategy in place in advance to deal with this issue the next time.

    A big thing for me is to REALLY REMEMBER that bad feeling you get afterward. You didn't feel better, you felt even worse and for me, that is my best motivation for resisting the urge to eat when I know I shouldn't.

    After 2.5 years of practice, I still mess up. I did it just last night, in fact. But, today is a new day and we just have to pick up and move forward!

    You're not alone! I slipped up last night too! I snacked on way too many chips and unhealthy things after dinner. The different thing about this time, is that before, after one slip up, I would have completely given up and went back to my old bad habits. This morning I got right back on track because I can't undo what I did last night but I can move forward and not let it sabotage all my hard work! That's all we can do! Hang in there!
