ACL Recovery

On October 26th I was in a bad car accident. My left knee was basically destroyed. Seriously, my MRI report included: broken tibia, contusions in tibia and femur, torn ACL, torn meniscus, partially torn LCL, sprained PCL, 2 strained tendons, and a strained muscle.
I had surgery to correct the torn ACL and mensicus November 16th (everything else has to heal on it's own). I've lost 19.5 pounds since then, but I'm struggling.
I guess I'm just looking for support. I'm so limited in what they are allowing me to do, so I go to physical therapy (which is a workout at this point) Monday and Thursday, and go to the gym (walk on the treadmill or the recumbent bike) Tuesday, wednesday, and friday. I try to be active on the weekend, but sometimes I just need a break.
Anyone been through ACL reconstruction while trying to lose weight?

My ACL was stuffed and still is. Sixteen years since now. So no sorry, no experience losing weight after a reconstruction. Plenty of experience with an ACL and recurring knee failures (in the first five years anyway). Is it possible your scenario is similar to people post knee replacement? There should be a few of those around.0

I have -but really my goal was just to maintain - and that's been successful. I had a torn ACL, tears to MCL, LCL and meniscus and a tibia fracture. Surgery at the end of July.
My knee feels pretty good at this point but still working on some strengthening before I can or do cutting sports like skiing. I'm just now refocusing on losing. Good luck!!!0
