Older or younger?

I've read people claiming that their, *ahem*, fuller faces give them a youthful appearance. I've read people claiming that people they know who've lost weight appear older (wrinkled, gaunt, whatev).
My personal experience is the exact opposite, so I'm wondering what other people have experienced or observed.
Fwiw, my personal experience is that, while I've always looked young for my age, since losing weight I've started to get id'd again when buying alcohol (I'm 32, the legal drinking age here is 18). There was even one guy who basically accused me of having a fake id.

I think it depends on your age too. If you have noticeably started ageing in the face I think it may show more if you lose weight, particularly if you carry a lot of weight in your face.

People have said I look younger but I've never looked my age anyway (I'm 34) and I didn't carry too much weight in my face. I think it's very dependent on the individual.

I'm going to stop losing weight just before I go into 'tortoise throat mode' lol
