My hubs runtastic orbit is no longer working (and help desk is worthless). He wants a MFP compatible tracker that is waterproof (swimming) and has a display (time, calories, steps). I've been looking though all the options and I'm going cross-eyed. Anyone have one that meets all the criteria?

I've been looking at the Garmin Vivovit 2 and the Vivosmart- I, too, swim and am in and out of the water often. Garmin seems to have been in the game longer than a lot of the others and have good reviews, unlike some of the other water-proof ones that are more flash in the pan. I haven't actually purchased yet, because my husband and I want to get the same equipment and he hasn't decided whether he wants the Vivosmart or not.

I love my Garmin 920xt. It's made for triathlons, so works for swimming, biking, and running. It measures the number of laps you do swimming and also which stroke you're using. It is definitely spendy, but it's been well-worth the money to me. I'm training for a half marathon and love the run features, and can't wait to try it while training for a tri. The step counting accuracy is very good and Garmin syncs here really well.
