Tricks to up protein

I've been told to try adding more protein to my diet. But I'm already eating chicken or nuts with almost every meal, and I'm starting to get sick of them. Anything better i can do besides shakes?

Nuts mostly add fat and only a little protein. Add some cheese or make a sauce out of plain fat free greek yogurt (I only do fat free for that yogurt because it has higher protein). Or just eat the yogurt mixed with some fruit. Eggs - eat 1 or 2 whole eggs and if you are really short on protein still and short on calories, add some egg whites. They aren't many calories at all. A frittata filled with different veggies and/or that chicken you are tired of or some turkey sausage, etc. can be a lovely meal any time of day and packed with protein.

Eggs, Greek yogurt, cheese, etc all help me meet my protein goal. I also add some black beans to most stews I make (I buy them dry and cook without salt so I can keep the sodium down. I freeze in 2 cup portions).

Cottage cheese (low fat), fat free yogurt, milk, sliced or cubed low fat cheese, beans, peas, eggs, and fish have been my main sources of protein.

I've eaten so many more peas and beans since starting to lose weight. They have fiber and protein, and are very versatile. If you like cottage cheese, enjoy that with fruit. If you like yogurt, have it by itself (Oikos Triple Zero is great) or use plain yogurt in a smoothie.

Another great protein source for me has been peanut powder. Also, good quality whole grain bread is mostly carbs, but I always make sure it has a decent amount of protein 6-10 g for 2 slices, or bagel or roll.

Probably eating too much protein. Don't go more than .7 grams/lb Lean Body mass per day.
