Just started using MyFitnessPal

And just getting started on this weight loss journey. I have been logging food for a week and am finding it harder to get to my calorie goal than to keep under it. At my weight I am supposed to be getting 2000 per day and I seem to be hitting 1,500 - 1,600 a day. Me and a friend are buddying up at the VA Move program to help keep each other accountable.

One big challenge I have is, I was in a pretty bad motorcycle accident in 2014 and walking much or standing more than a few minutes gets me in excruciating lower back pain. I am getting up to 6-7 minutes at 2.0 mph on the treadmill at each session and after that the pain stops me. So what I am doing is trying to do 5-7 minutes every hour.
