When is the best time to exercise?

I like to do my high intensity exercise in the morning but my co worker always works out after work.
Is it better to work out in the morning than it is evening? Regarding building your fitness up and/or losing weight or does it really not make much of a difference?

I would say what you've described comes down to personal preferences based on grooming routines, work commutes, home life and individual circadian rhythms. I don't like to see people inserting vigorous workouts too closely abutted to their night time sleep schedule because I think sleep hygiene issues can follow. Otherwise, the best time to work out is whenever you consistently show up!0

Best time is what fits your schedule, personally I prefer morning as it's a great way (for me) to start the day. Not everyone is a morning person.....

Best time is when you have the time and availability to do it.
For the record, I workout from 5 am to 6 am. That is the only I am available.
Otherwise, it will not happen

Whenever you can fit it in. I prefer running a couple of hours before I sleep and having a hot shower before going to bed. I sleep like a champ and wake up feeling great when I do this.0

Like others have said, do what works best for you. I workout from 10:30 to noon during the weekdays because that is when the gym at my work is pretty empty and it allows me to use the most of my time in there. Some people like to workout in the mornings before work, others after to blow off steam or relax. But you have to do what works best for your schedule and what allows you to put the most effort into the workouts. I'm sure there is some scientific evidence to a time of day that works best, but I would also bet that it doesn't matter until you're talking about pro-athlete level type training.0

It's definitely majoring in the minors for about 99.9% of people. Even if there was scientific evidence proving that the best time of the day to work out was at 11:27:34 for exactly 44 minutes and 49 seconds, that wouldn't do much good for everybody who's working or otherwise occupied at that time of the day.
Do your workouts whenever you'll most consistently do them. Regular, consistent workouts are far more effective than a lot of missed workouts at some supposed "ideal" time because it doesn't fit your schedule or personal preference.
