Regarding "Fun and Games" forum

I've just noticed the appearance of a new forum "Fun and Games". I had the chit chat forum blocked because it spammed my recent discussions with topics I had no interest in. It appears those topics were moved to "Fun and Games", so that's definitely is going to get blocked.

My question: If someone has "Chit Chat" unblocked, what is the nature of the topics there? If it has some interesting chats and random discussions unrelated to weight loss I would like to unblock it. Is there a way to do that?

The most recent topic is "Looking for MFP GF." I'm not inclined to venture further than that, but I notice there are lots of threads about full body massages and kissing whenever the most recent topic catches my eye. But maybe that says more about what grabs my attention . . .

I thought "Chit Chat" had gotten re-activated in my feed again, blech. Seems to be the same thing with a new name.

Evidently they split Fun and Games off from Chit Chat. I read a thread bemoaning the split and then promptly unfollowed Fun and Games.

I'm just tickled that MFP lets us unfollow forum sections. I read another forum where I have to mark as read all of the sections that I want to ignore every time I visit and that gets old.

I had no idea you could block forums!! using the recent discussions area is so much more tolerable without all that crap clogging it up! thank you!

Well, i'm an optimist I guess. I thought with the million "person above you" topics moved to the other forum some good topics that got buried under them in the past would re-surface. It least I won't have to go through the hassle of looking for a way to unblock it.

I was hoping that too. Unfortunately those of us who would enjoy them probably won't go there, because of the rest of it.

Use the web version and go to forums. Mouse on any forum you don't want to follow and click the "gear" icon. This will give you the option to unfollow and entire forum.
