39yo, 40 pounds to go, seeking accountability and support, preferably without a ton of emojis.

Okay, emojis are fine. But I prefer words. About me: I have been overweight all of my adult life, mostly just due to lack of portion control. (I don't eat fast food, I don't drink juice or soda, I don't drink much alcohol. I don't eat much meat - I just eat too much of everything I eat.) I'm pretty skeptical and pragmatic. I'm not interested in detoxing myself. I exercise daily, but not very intensely - mostly youtube videos in my basement at 6 am and me jumping around in a wrinkled t-shirt, pretending to be a ballerina. I work a stressful but sedentary office job, I have two kids and a supportive husband, and I'm the kind of person, for better or worse, who listens to a lot of NPR podcasts. I finally decided to take this whole Eating Less thing seriously this year, and have been losing weight steadily for a month. I would like to find some some mfp friends who log pretty regularly and are interested in engaging in the kind of chit-chat about weight loss strategies and ups and downs that other people in my life find brain-meltingly boring. Please send me a message if you're interested!
