Ok so i am currently doing T25 im on week 5 of alpha ive lost 22lbs so far ao im pretty happy.i bought a polar H7 yesterday and i used it today to do the cardio dvd it said i burned 366 cal by the way im female 5'6 217.4lbs ...ok so when i log my workout i put it under circuit training general and ita close to what my hrm says so my question is WHY the hack do people always say hrms are not to be used to calculate these type of workouts that if i do it will be an exagerated calorie burn can someone please explain this to me...

    I also have a Polar H7 HRM and love it. I find that it is way more accurate than wrist HRM. I have the polar loop and it links to that... then to my phone where I get detailed workout data and then it automatically sync with MFP although the exact type of workout I was doing gets lost in the mix.

    I'd love to hear others answer your question because I've always used HRMs to calculate calories burned in my workouts.

    I use mine whenever I work out. I base my training on what my heart rate monitor is displaying. In my opinion it's like driving a car alone on the road with no speedometer. You have no idea how fast or slow you are going.

    Hrms are awesome but they are only accurate for steady state cardio. I wouldn't wear one for lifting as they are highly inaccurate.
