    How would it be different? Are you talking to stay hydrated? Then yes, it will hydrate you.

    Ideally, water should have minerals. If you're talking about drinking water that has been filtered then it probably doesn't have much mineral content if any. You filter out the bad stuff which makes the water drinkable but also the minerals. I get reverse osmosis water from the machines and then add a dash of "Real Salt" to it. This type of salt contains trace minerals.

    However, this isn't much of an issue if you are getting enough minerals through your diet. I just think that if you're chugging 1-2 gallons of distilled water per day it might be a good idea to add minerals to your water.
