It depends, there are buns (for hotdogs and burgers) and there a rolls (like dinner rolls or cinnamon). I don't know what a bap is.0

From my understanding...
A bap is a squishy white roll covered in flour.
a bun can be sweet (cinnamon bun, hot cross bun, fruit bun), but it can also plain bread. Rolls are generally plain bread.
We tend to call bread by its name - ciabatta, baguette, foccacia, Turkish bread etc...0
