I have a playlist that runs through:

    Amon Amarth
    Artillery
    Chimera
    Children of bodom
    Five finger death punch
    Iron maiden
    Metallica
    3 inches of blood
    Trivium

And several others, almost certainly not typical workout tunes but I'm a metal head \m/

I think you'll find that metal is an extremely common choice for workout music here and in general.

I'm not a big fan myself. My current favourite workout playlist has a ton of those "Pop Goes Punk!" albums - punk bands covering popular radio hits. They're fun, energetic, and usually with the right BPM for running.

i typically listen to metal outside of my workouts. \m/

But for working out i need ultra poppy over the top or sexy feminine songs. Like 80's and 90's dance music. Or K-POP.

Eric Prydz - Call On Me
    Culture Beat- Mr. Vain
Ace of Bass- All the songs, LOL
La Bouche - Be My Lover
    Haddaway - What Is Love
    Snap- Rythm is a dancer
Corona - Rhythm of the Night
ATC - All Around The World
t.A.T.u. - All The Things She Said
Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head
Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch
    Aqua- Dr. Jones, Cartoon Heros
    Real McCoy - Another Night
Technotronic - Pump Up The Jam

You get the idea. For k-pop if you're into that thing I have a ton i like to workout to when i want to feel like sexy swaggering. LOL

Jungle by Jamie N Commons & X Ambassadors. Sort of adrenaline pumping!

How You Like Me Now by The Heavy is good too! Sort of gets you visualizing where you want to be and how it's going to make you feel lol.

Usually listen to Rap, Hip Pop, Eminem, South Paw Soundtrack; occasionally, U2; almost always Top 50 Songs on Charts in shuffle Modez
  • The Hand That Feeds - Nine Inch Nails and Jump Around - House of Pain...although Jump Around basically makes me want to just jump around!

Seriously. Blame my coach. My own taste is far more eclectic, but he's played a country playlist enough while I've been benching that country love songs get me focused.

I've been listening to Queen and have adopted "Fat Bottomed Girls" as my personal workout song. When Freddy screams, "Get on your bikes and ride!", by golly, I get on that bike and ride.
