Tips to help lose body fat

Hi everyone! Does anyone have some tips for me as I start the gym tomorrow? My first goal is to start losing this excess fat I hate. Currently weighing in at 175, I don't really have a goal. To me, weight is just a number. I want to lose enough to be happy with my body and to be healthy. I will be at gym 5 days a week for a couple weeks and then it will be just 3 days/week due to clinical rotation for college. Basically I need tips and recommendations on specific workouts that will burn the excess fat. Thanks yall!

    Best results I've had at losing the fat - small calorie deficit and grab some weights. I do cardio too, but some form of weight/strength/resistance training is awesome for fat loss, but you need to eat well for that - good protein, fat and carbs, and ENOUGH cals to fuel those workouts.

    It may not come off super fast, but the changes I got in my own body were totally worth it.
