Looking for opinions!

So, a little background, I started my journey in November at 310 lbs (5' 6"). I have since lost 31 lbs total and, have hit my first stall in weight loss. It has been about a week and a half and the scale is not moving. Now, it very well could just be normal if I am gaining muscle (I have to check my measurements) but, I thought it couldn't hurt to get some opinions. My diary is open so, anyone that cares to, take a peak and share your thoughts. Should I stay the course or, change it up?

It is completely normal to have pauses along the way. Until you've had 3 solid weeks without a loss, I would not change anything.

First of all when you eat in a deficit gaining muscle is very hard to do.
Noob gains yes but that is not much
Stalling for 1.5 week is nothing because weight loss is not linear. You can have fluctuations etc etc
but the biggest chance is that you eat to much calories.
And looking at your diary i have the question if you weigh all your food on a food scale ( so not using cups spoons or serving sizes)
And if you log really everything because i miss for example the butter or oil to prepare eggs and meat and dressing by your salad entry's.
I could be wrong but my guess is that your diary is not accurate enough ( yet) and you have to look into those kind of things.
Also your exercise calories do you eat those back?
When you do dont eat them all because MFP over estimate them.
Anyway you lost a lot of weight already so congratulations and in my opinion you only need to tighten up your logging

You are losing fast enough that I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably water, one way or another (particularly if it has hit during any key time in your period cycle.)0

Thanks. I don't typically cook with oil or butter (I have the Rock no stick pans) but when I do, I log it. I also do normally log the dressing...the day in question I forgot my dressing at home so, I did eat the salad like that!
I do measure but not weigh and, I have decided I need to change that for better accuracy!! I'm picking up a food scale this weekend!0 -
Also just realized I have to pay closer attention to the full nutrition when selecting an item. I logged brocolli the other day and, it said it had 423g of sodium!! I wad mostly just looking at the calories and if they were right, I would log it! I think if I tighten this up, I will be back on track!0

this! and yes watching closely what you log from the database. its good but whew, lots of problems. I will sometimes double check an item on another site if its a new item I'm adding. (not to the database at large but to my diary)0 -
Stalls happen to most everyone. I've had my share and they suck. If you have the patience and trust in your diet plan, the weight will come off.0

Id say 1.5 weeks is nothing really. I know its all about motivation and if the number isnt moving it can be disheartneing! But looks like your doing things right keep at it0

This. Even if you were doing everything 100% right a week and a half stall is perfectly normal. However, I think it's good you are tightening up your logging. It will help you a lot as you get closer to your goal weight.0 -

I don't normally cook with oils or fats when I am making meat. I either grill or cook in a non stick rock pan. If I am making a recipe, the fats would be in the recipe when I add it so it is taken into consideration there.0 -

Well done, you've done really well. We just got those pans, they're brilliant aren't they? No oil or butter makes a big difference. Keep as you are and see what happens, you're doing a grand job0 -

They are so amazing! Best investment I have made. I can put chicken in their with nothing but salt and pepper, I usually sear on stove top on one side, then I flip the meat, add in some veggies (carrots, broccoli, whatever) ..maybe some grated garlic and then throw it into the oven to finish cooking. And then it cleans up like a dream.0
