I've read load of post on here that say you should lift weights, I'm terrified of the weights room at the gym I use. I prefer to do the classes, I do body pump and a class using gymsticks (a stick with resistance bands attached) as well as plenty of cardio. Is this enough 'weights'.

Yes.. it may not be optimal for strength, but any resistance training should help with muscle retention. And it may just be a gateway to the next thing you enjoy.

Thank you for the reassurance. I have hypermobility issues and can't lift heavy, (once used a 4kg kettlebell in one hand and was out of action for 6 weeks). Unfortunately this means the most I can lift is between 5 and 10kg, mostly 5.

I love body pump. I did Crossfit for 2.5 and had to get out because of an injury. Body pump is my gateway to lift again.... You get to add or reduce the weights as needed and I love it. Been to
About 8 classes and I am hooked.
