Wow. I ate one egg, one ounce of cheese, and two ounces of lean steak, and I've blown my protein for the day? Bye bye cheese :(

Your protein goal is way too low.

I'm guessing a few things. Either your protein goal is too low, the entry for cheese is incorrect, or then entry for something else is incorrect. Also, protein goal is a minimum, not a maximum.

Welllllllll I cut dairy in general, I love cheese but fakkkkkk its killing me. Also, I feel much better during training a dairy free diet  BUT I wouldn't put a limit on how much protein you eat in a day... its amazing for you.

Thanks, everyone. My protein is set at 60g a day. That was the default. I didn't set it. But now that I think about it, that doesn't seem right. But it is helpful to know that the protein goal is a minimum, not a maximum.

    Common advice is:

Protein: .6-1 grams per pound of lean mass or goal weight
Fat: .4 grams per lb of lean mass or goal weight
Carbs: Carbs can make up the remainder of your calories.

Both protein and fats are minimums as both are absolutely necessary, protein to help preserve lean mass as you lose weight, and fat for proper hormone functions, vitamin absorption, and general health.
Carbs are filler once the other two minimums are met.

This doesn't mean that you have to only eat one at a time or anything.... just overall throughout your day.

something is not right there. I plugged in 1 large egg, 1 oz cheese and 2oz beef tenderloin into the database and came up with 24 grams of protein.
