Sore muscle

Hello everyone...
I've been running for over a year now, but recently I haven't been going out running as much. I started running longer distances this year, culminating in a half marathon on April 7 and another 10 mile race later that month.
I'm not sure exactly what point it started, but now when I run my muscle in my upper left thigh feels really sore. It doesn't hurt, it's just sore, and I'm able to run through it but it slows me down a bit. It starts after about 2 miles, and continues through the next day. I thought maybe it was an overuse injury, but even if I take 2-3 weeks off from running, it still comes back.
It's not a major pain, but I know it can't be good for me. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Did it ever go away?

Currently on a running Hiatus myself with a pain in my right hip. Exactly the same symptoms. I am going to give it 4 weeks off the running and another week off the Heavy squats and see how it goes. i will probably ease back into the running. couple of miles to start with then building up.
