Challenged myself to eat perfectly for Lent, starting TODAY, February 10, 2016. Had fallen off of the wagon and began straightening myself out and felt so much better immediately.

That's awesome! Instead of giving up food/material goods, I've chosen to give up negativity. Unless it's about my health or school, my glass is half full. When it comes to health and school, my glass is actually mostly empty. I want to give up that mindset for a while, and see what happens.

Don't define "eat perfectly" too narrowly or you will drive yourself crazy. I would rather add things for lent rather than subtract. I will take at least 5000 steps every day and meditate/pray for 10 minutes before bed each night.

I think this is a great way to be. I often tell my patients (I am a oncology nurse) at the mind goes so does the body. Think positive feel better. Good luck!

Nah, I intend to eat perfectly for 40 days to compare the difference in my health before and after. It's a spiritual discipline, and its only 40 days.
