And I've lost 6 lbs in 3 days!!!!!

It's called the flu.

Seriously how much of the weight that I lost can I expected to gain back once I'm feeling better? I don't want to record a low number then it pop back up

ahhhh yes. nothing like a good stomach bug or flu to bump up the weight loss LOL

whether or not it comes back depends on whether or not you eat it back. I've never had any come back.... you might retain some water for a bit when you start eating again but it will likely fall off.

If you haven't been eating much and struggling to keep liquids down (or are sweating a lot), a fair bit of it will be water/food weight. (6lbs of fat is a lot to lose in 3 days - pretty much impossible)

I wouldn't weigh until you're better (well enough to be going back at work) and go from there. You probably have had some actual fat loss, but until you're back into routine it would be hard to tell exactly how much.

I've never ever kept off sickness weightloss. It always came back the day I eat again, you're normally only light as your empty not actual fat gone!

I had a tummy virus last year and kept off a couple of the 6lbs or so I lost. I didn't record anything for at least two weeks after feeling better though, just to be sure it was staying off!

I'm just getting over the stomach flu :( I lost 4 pounds! I still haven't gotten my appetite back, although my energy is returning slowly. I logged my weight loss - but I don't plan on weighing myself again for about 2 weeks.

Yeah I know it's impossible to burn 6 lbs of fat in 3 days while I was in bed sleeping for 18 hours. I would of had to of burned over 7,000 calories a day

I'm guessing a pound of fat loss and 5 pounds from water loss and my digestive track being completely empty

Man, I had pneumonia when I was younger and went down 13lbs. And then I tried to be an adult later on and move out and I couldn't afford food (pre-lifestyle change, that is) so I knocked off over 30lbs there.

I'm sure you'll gain some back from water weight. Sorry you got the bug.

Chances are most of it is water weight and will come back as you rehydrate after recovering.

ETA hope you get better soon!
