I am curious as to what vitamins and or supplements you ladies take? I'm 44 years old and only take a couple of vitamins daily, but am also interested in which supplements you all take?

It all depends on what you are deficient in. I get tested regularly. It seems pointless to take a whole bunch of supplements if you don't need them.

With my condition I have known deficiencies, and pretty well everyone in North America is deficient in Vitamin D.

I take a pregnancy multivitamin because of it's extra Folic Acid, extra iron, extra calcium, extra Vitamin D, and a sub-lingual B12.

If I am going out on an extended run or if I feel a cold coming on, I take extra Vitamin C.

Don't take extra iron if you aren't deficient.

Have you thought about working with a naturopathic doctor? I found one in my area and with her help, I feel amazing. Being 42, I wanted to get on track with hormones, supplements, vitamins, etc. She has been critical in getting my body in order.

I get my blood work done twice a year. I supplement with a daily multi, omega 3, coq10, DHEA, vitamin D, calcium, and a lot of other things. I personally don't think one can get all of their RDA -- which is on the low side to begin with -- from foods. And I know for myself, living in an area where it's too cold to be outside 5-6 months out of the year my vitamin D levels tend to be really low so I supplement with around 11,000 IU's during this time.
