Mr & Mrs got to goal weight and now maintaining weight loss

We are the same height, weight, age but my husband as an 1000 extra calories per day more than me. Why?

    Usaly it is become of the muscle mass man naturally have more which is why they get more calories this drive my wife crazy also

    Yeah, it is sort of the nature of it - women just have lower calorie needs.

    That being said, 1,000 is a lot. Are you sure bot of your MFP goals are set to maintenance or the lowest possible loss? (.5 lbs/week, I think.)

    Thanks and both set to maintenance - although my husband is 3 years younger than me (I tend to forget this!) but I don't think it should make too much difference. However my work is sedentary and his more active.

    My wife and I are having a competition (us both being competitive) with weekly prizes that we both give each other should we hit our targets. She doesn't understand that I'm allowed to eat more (and successfully so). I put it down to me averaging 11,000 steps a day, mostly through dog walking
