64.8 kg monday, 67.7 kg friday (today)

Hey i seem to have gained 2.9 kg in four days? I have been eating above maintenance but did i really gain fat that quickly? Is this how weight gain works? you see no gain on the scale for weeks and then a sudden bounce in weight?i I know it could be water weight but it seems extreme and my pants feel tighter.

    my weight fluctuates up to 7 pounds in a day.

    You'd have to eat over 20,000 calories beyond maintenance for it to be all fat. So yes it's mostly water.

    Could be any or all of these causing water retention:
    • Increased exercise (glycogen storage)
    • Increased sodium
    • Time of Month

    Or it could be:
    • Rate of digestion/elimination

    Not likely to be anywhere near all fat.

    Prob almost all extra water ,
    For me Sunday 57.2 kg sat 58.6 kg , in between was Monday cross fit ( new class) ,midweek body weight , Friday yoga , period turns up Sunday night . Next Monday weight was 56.8 kg , all water fluctuation movements I consider after all that I am still happily maintaining my goal weight of 57.5 kg
