My "routine" consists of a bunch of pullups/chinups/dips/squats four days a week until I feel tired. I've been using a weighted vest and ankle weights to keep the dip/pullup reps between 2-6.

I'm trying to gain weight but want to make sure I'm actually doing enough so I don't end up with a ton of fat and not a lot of muscle.

Its hard to say. "Until I feel tired" isn't very specific and how much you gain is going to depend a lot on how much surplus you're eating

If your trying to gain muscle efficiently I would increase the reps somewhere in the 8-12 range and the amount of fat to muscle has to do with your surplus of calories.

Also for muscle gains, you have to progressively add more resistance or more volume. And body weight training will have a lot more limitations than a good lifting routine. So if you are looking to optimize your training, and optimize muscle gains, then a good lifting program would be your ideal route.
