Hi there, name's Bert, I'm new to the nutrition world. Never really been counting calories. I've hit 40 years old last month and made a little review of my habits. I'm 6'1 240 pounds and joined myfitnesspal so I can reach my goal of going down to 200 pounds. I swim every Tuesday and Thursday and work out the rest of the week. My main goal is stop eating after 7pm, bad habits I've maintained for too long. I like the fact to input what food we eat, helps seeing the big picture of how much food selection is important. Reading all the great stories here keeps me motivated, and I've lost already 3 pounds in 6 days. The hardest part is not busting up our daily calorie goal and that's what I find difficult, not used to be limited like that, guess it's part of the learning process and being more careful to what we eat.
