Scale Confusion

I joined a Fitness Challenge about a month ago, and I thought I was meeting my goal of losing 1 pound a week. My scale at home reflected this, and I was really happy. However, I weighed in at the Fitness Challenge and their scale showed that I had only lost 1.6 pounds in a month. This was very discouraging. I am fighting the urge to never weigh in again as it really brought me down emotionally. I'm super bummed right now and need something else to show progress as I've been busting my rear for the past month for only a 1.6 pound loss. Any suggestions?

Stick to one scale. Even if it's initially off by a couple pounds (as most cheap home scales are), the difference should be right! I'd believe that you lost 4lbs in the month - the second scale probably would have shown you at +4lbs than what your first scale showed you when you first started!0

It also depends on when you weigh in, do it first thing in the morning after you pee for increased accuracy.0
