Good foods for post endurance events

Hi all, So this isn't so much a question about RIGHT after or the day of an endurance event. This is more, what do you eat in the days following those events to help your body recover. I know the majority of the nutrition around what to eat before, and during, but I realized today that I don't really know what a good balance would be for these days after the event.
Obviously, I know I am going to be a little hungrier, but should the meals be well rounded macros, or should there be a higher amount of protein / carbs / fats etc etc etc to help with recovery?
I participated in the American Cancer Society PA Hope Ride this past weekend. We rode our bikes from Hershey's Hope Lodge to Philadelphia's Hope Lodge. The ride was roughly 2 days for a total of 140 miles long, with some pretty intense climbs. It was about 70 miles per day.

Protein for sure. It's crucial for muscle recovery.0

Thanks. That was my thought as well, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious!0
