Lifting help?

I want to get into lifting. I've been a cardio bunny for wayyyy to long and I'd love have both. I've been dabbling a little the past few months and have noticed some improvements but I'm not very structured with it and don't really know where to start. I tried downloading strong lifts but my apartment complex's gym doesn't have a bar. Only Dumbbells and a few machines in some serious need of oil they barely move. Does anyone know of any free apps or programs to get me into lifting heavier and show me some real results over time?

I might suggest getting an actual gym membership, or by looking into a beginner calisthenics routine. It'll be purely bodyweight exercises. In my opinion though that can still be an incredible workout. I still do plenty of bodyweight exercises seeing consistent gains. Word of advice, do it slow with controlled movements. Not crossfit fish out of water technique.0

Also look into Jeff cavalier on YouTube. Channel is athleanX. He does tons of videos on home workouts without equipment.0

The book New Rules of Weightlifting for Women is a good start. That's where I started and I did really well with it.0
