"Healthier"/favorite alcoholic drinks

So I made a drink last night. It was Titos, lime seltzer water, a frozen strawberry, lime slice, and a few olives....served in a crystal glass of course. It was tasty. 700 calories for 12oz of vodka0

I had some grey goose vodka that I had soaked some raisins in,( I make hard cider and needed to sterilize the raisins before adding them to the fermenting cider) and there's NO way I was going to throw out perfectly good vodka. So I used a shot of the raisin vodka, added some kumbucha, (I make that too) and seltzer with lemon. On the rocks. All who had one, or two, agreed that recipe was a keeper. But can't go wrong with grey goose on the rocks with a twist of lemon when nothing else is available.0

Tito's vodka, over ice
This, but even better over some mashed up rasberries.
I like mixed drinks, and love good liquors mixed with lemonade, but have found that good flavored vodka (florida cane mango, or the deep eddy grapefruit) is good with simple sparkling water and lime, and of course good whiskey is also fine the same way.
And more important, just cutting back on frequency works even better than trying to de-calorize drinks. One or two days a week of drinking 2 of something I like, not a few days a week of just one.

Jameson on the rocks0

Red wine or my boyfriend shakes up our own skinny margaritas--lime juice (fresh) tequila and a touch of honey. Add some mint or basil for fun!0

I mix mine with Coke Zero, but I bet diet dew is good, too! Gotta try that!

Haha alcohol should never be wasted. I've never had kombucha. I'll have to try this one sometime.0 -

Love me some jamo. Still bummed I never got 2 of the 7 collectible shot glasses they had last year.

We have completely eliminated soda has a mixer in favor of plane seltzer. That saves us quite a few soda calories every time we have a few drinks. And it tastes pretty good, especially with things like flavored vodka :-)0

Agreed. I just did the same. Cut out the soda as a mixer and switched from bourbon to vodka. Suppose I could still do seltzer and bourbon too though.0 -
I usually stick to the red wine, but it tends to blow my calories out of the water. Because I like it, and I like a lot if it!
If I'm trying to stick to my calories (sometimes I just say "screw it"), I will go with vodka soda with lemon and lime. It's pretty good.0 -
I enjoyed whipped cream vodka and diet cherry Dr pepper on Saturday. 4 drinks was 264 calories and nearly fit my day (7 calories over). Fabulously tasty and at 66 calories an ounce the vodka was awesome.0

For parties I usually lean toward Captain and Diet Coke or flavored vodka with flavored sparkling water or lemon.
I'm a sucker for wine and craft beer but my friends and I are in our early-mid 20s and have a lot of house parties so the captain and Diet Coke or vodka and water always win for those circumstances since large amounts are typically consumed.0 -
Wine for any occasion is my favorite, but I can drink a whole bottle, so it's not really low calorie at that point haha. I'll usually keep Sam Adams light or Yuengling light in the fridge.
I also like vodka sodas. At home, I enjoy Belvedere with flavored sparkling water (my fav is pomegranate lime). If I'm out, blueberry vodka soda if available, or I'll just add a splash of cranberry if the flavored vodkas aren't available0 -
Champagne is my favorite - the healthiest thing about it is that it's so effing expensive you can't drink too much.0

House parties I typically lean towards *kitten* beer as your right large quantities are consumed and it's easy to lose track and before you know it your 20 drinks deep ha0 -

Haha I can defiantly relate to the whole bottle thing. Keeping box wine in the house is dangerous lol0 -

Malibu rum, pinneapple-coconut water (from Sam's/Walmart) with a splash of pre-bottled pina colada mix...yum!0
