Need ideas for setting goals...

I noticed a few posts that said stuff like "I reached my birthday goal!!" It got me to thinking. Our next family get together will be Easter, which falls on March 27th this year. I feel like I need something to look forward to other than just a little dip in the scales. What are some realistic goals I can set to motivate me to work harder over the next month or so?

I like to set workout related goals. Like some of my first goals were walking 5x a week. Then I set distances for those walks, eventually up to 3 miles. Now I'm setting goals for my jogging. I should be setting goals to weight lift at least three days a week, but that's the next thing I need to get serious about.0

I'm the same as blues4miles. I set monthly work out related goals; for example this month my goal is to run a total of 30km (I generally run 3km at a time so thats 10 runs for the month). If I reach my goal I have a small (non-food related) reward that I then buy myself to congratulate me on reaching this goal0
