Hey everyone. I started my journey of a better "Eating" lifestyle. I am 24 years young. I started at 171lbs, and as of right now I weigh 157lbs. I would like to maintain my weight at around 125-130. I have scoliosis (S curve of 25 & 38), I have spinal stenosis, spinal arthritis, DDD, sciatica. I do want to add excercise to my daily routine l, but have to be cautious of what I do. I would love to find support, motivation, and online friends to progress with. Please friend me.

Consider swimming and swim aerobics, which un-weight your spine as much as possible. Be willing to spend your money on individual training from a qualified person at least once a week.

I have sciatica too and it becomes much worse when I do any high impact exercise- even using an elliptical can cause severe pain. I have degenerative disk disease and herniated disks L4-L5 and L5-S1. I use to love to swim but I no longer have access to a pool. I'd like to become friends and have support as well. I have two very energetic dogs and I hope to start going on longer walks with them once the weather begins warming up. Gentle yoga is also very helpful but doing a home practice is unpractical in my situation and there are no studios by me so I'll have to find a way to work that into my routine. What are some things that you've found that help? I really need to lose all this extra weight to relive pressure on my spine. Keep me posted! I'd love to hear about your journey!

I second swimming. Very good workout with very low impact.
