(Not sure if this is the right section put put this in, but whatever.)
I've been having a lot of seemingly random, baseless anxiety lately, and as a result I've been binging. Does anyone else struggle with this and have other distractions/coping mechanisms? I don't know what to do about it. Nothing else is distracting or calming enough. I've tried going to the gym and listening to music loudly and even that doesn't usually help. It's sabotaging my weight loss and making me feel pathetic and just generally really annoying. Any help would be appreciated.
ETA: I have not had an eating disorder for something like a year and a half, although I appreciate the concern. If you want to say that I currently have an ED then so does everyone else here really.

You have a history of bulimia and anorexia.
Any therapist will tell you not to use places like this.
You need to "de-focus" from food.
More: You only weigh 106? Please seek therapy. 5'3?
    Weight loss?

you have an eating disorder. Anyone on here, in their right mind, will not give you any advice, other than to speak to your treatment team.

I don't know your posting history or what's going on here, but it's definitely not true that everyone here has anxiety that co tributes to binge eating behaviors. That is something you need to address with a professional.

Hi! I don't know anything about your posting history either. I do have issues with binging though, and if ever you need to vent please feel free to add me/message me. I know how it goes, and I'm finding that social support is pretty helpful.

I just mean that there are a lot of people who call themselves "emotional eaters", and every other day there's a post on here about depression contributing to weight gain and how to deal with that. I don't really see why this is different.

Oh! 5'3 and 125 to me is healthy, but yes if u want to lose weight and are already quite "small", Yes it's hard!
I think when you are smaller, every single thing you eat can make you gain weight, it's frustrating!
To help with not binge ing, I make sure I eat enough protein, drink enough water, get enough sleep and exercise helps me w anxiety because of the natural endorphins released!

I am also unaware of your posting history as others seemed concerned about. However, I have anxiety as well and have experienced the uncontrollable binges, but I found that keeping only healthy food around, or pre-portioned snacks in the cupboard, lessened the damage significantly. What would be a 2,000cal binge slowly turned into 1,000 then 500. Sometimes, if you know it can't be controlled, lessening the damage gives you time to figure out better coping mechanisms.
