July Walking Challenge

This is continued from previous Walking Challenges, but its nice when each month has its own thread.

*** Anyone can join in at any time, the more the merrier, lets keep each other motivated****

Walking seems like the easiest way to start getting exercise, and even if you can't track distance (or don't want to), tracking time is good too...go for a 10 min walk after dinner, or up it to 30 minutes, you'll be amazed at the end of the month how much more exercise your getting in. :)

Check in everyday with how far you walked or how long, this is just to motivate us to get in at least some exercise everyday, and keep an eye on each other.


I want to try to keep this mostly to walking or walking type exercising. treadmills and ellipticals are A-OK.

Hope to see some more faces in this challenge, we'll start tracking July 1st

    I'm up to the challenge... I find it VERY soothing and relaxing to walk. I solve the world wars and the economy while walking, and never notice UNTIL I get to the last lap of 3 miles !!!!!!!!!!! :D

    Count me in, i dont really do excerisize so walking seems like a good way to go :) may go for a nice walk after dinner tomorrow, drag the boyfriend along :)

    really wanted to go for a walk after my tea but its throwing it down :( really dont fancy getting drenched :( maybe tomorrow!

    Count me in also. I walk my dog twice a day 3.5 in the morning and 2 miles in the evening if its not to hot.

    Reduced my target as my right knee is playing up which is slowing me down a little.

    Only 1 mi. having low back pain & muscle spasms. Did do some stretching & back exercises.

    I'd like to join. Just starting up my walking routine again and have set a 25 mile goal for the month.

    The rain has put a damper on my walking plans, but so far this month I have walked.......
