Exercise on LCHF

Hi all

I thought I'd post this to get some thoughts. I've read soooooooooooooo much on lchf diets, ketoadaptation etc etc so I am in no confusion relating to the biology and all that. However, recently there has been some discussion in the scientific community on whether or not exercise is beneficial to weight loss. In fact, there is even evidence that it slows metabolism in obese subjects. Now, before you respond with all the non-weight loss related benefits of exercise, such as increased serotonin and muscle mass and joint health (I am aware of them and think it's a good idea in general), I have a mixed view of whether or not exercising hard will actually improve the speed of weight loss on HFLC. Of course, I expect it will if you aren't low carb. What I'm trying to ascertain is whether or not it's worth pushing harder for increased results or simply exercising 3 times a week for general health and well being, given that I'm ketoadapted on HFLC. Your thoughts would be appreciated :)

What do you mean by this?

If weight loss is the goal then oxidising more fat with spells of increased activity (ie exercise) will be beneficial on LCHF.

Vigorous activity will tend to be biased towards using up some carbohydrate, but that can be beneficial too on LCHF for some (like me) if it avoids your blood sugar creeping up.

    I'm also LCHF / ketogenic.

I exercise 5-6 times a week. 1-2x per week is low intensity (yoga), and the other 3-4x per week is high intensity (weights, strength training, high impact cardio). I realize that weight loss is 70% diet. However, I am not just aiming to lose weight. I'm aiming to build muscle and sculpt a stronger body. That, in my opinion, takes harder exercise than just attempting to drop fat.
