Afternoon all,
I have had the most awful week with food. After a family emergency and no time to hit the gym all week I just gave up and ate everything! literally binging all week, the fact I had hardly any sleep and was really stressed obviously didn't help and I didn't care at the time.
Aiming to get back onto plan today (so far so good), so I jumped on the scales this morning to give me that extra nudge of motivation. Only to see that I had gained 13 pounds!!! seriously? is that correct? or do you think a chunk of that could be water weight that might fall off in a few days?
This has now stressed me out more as I was doing well before hand and starting to feel good, now I've gone 13 fat steps back!
Its actually made me not want to eat
Any tips of shedding this weight ASAP please!?

Yes, it is possible. I went from 206 to 227 in a two week period over Christmas. I went back to my routine of eating and exercise and was very careful about sodium intake (because much of it is water retention). The pounds came off quickly BUT not as quickly as they went on... took me about a month to get back to 206. Just get back on track.0

3500*13= 45,500
That is how much calories above maintenance you will have needed to eat to actually gain 13 lbs. that's 6000+ calories above maintenance every day. Now... You tell me if you've actually gained 13 lbs or not.0 -
Just go back to your normal plan and you'll find out how much of it is water weight in time. You can't undo what has already been done. All you can do is recognize that it happened, move forward, and think about what you can do differently in the future if you ever encounter a stressful situation again.0

Happened lots of times to me before, how quickly it comes off depends on how I eat immediately after. If I go back to my usual diet, it can sometimes take one or two weeks to come off completely. If I do something like Intermittent Fasting (not start eating until 12 the next day) or even lay off the carbs for a day it usually goes away a lot quicker. But that's just me, and I like carbs and I wouldn't say that would work out the same for anyone else. But for everyone, that sudden weight gain is pretty easy to deal with and it won't take long to go away if you get back on track.0
