Getting a bit frustrated, I don't know maybe I'm thinking too much but anyways. I feel like I need an exercise plan that I can stick with. And how much I'm supposed to be eating and exercising to actually burn calories and lose fat.. I don't know if mfp is accurate so I want to hear your experience sp far with mfp ,thanks you it would really help !

I don't know if this will help but...nothing has ever worked for me except mfp. Just enter the info truthfully and eat under the calorie limit it gives you. Exercise can be anything you want...just log it and it'll automatically allow you to eat more calories for the day! It does work!!! As long as you are honest and consistent you will see results! I have lost over 30 pounds doing this!

I treat exercise as a lifestyle change too. It's somewhat helpful for weight loss....but it's even more important for maintenance.

Instead of an elaborate plan. Just work on finding something you enjoy.....a sports league, dancing, hula hooping, roller blading, anything that you can see yourself continuing. Being more active will help you keep the weight from creeping back up.

I started exercise in small increments. YouTube is great for test driving a little of this and a little of that. Eventually exercise becomes a habit.

    Here's a website I really like: http://jessicasmithtv.com/

If you put in your stats correctly and let MFP calculate your calories to loose the amount of pounds per week, then it will work.

My best advise to anyone, get a FOOD SCALE and use it right away. A link to read up if you are interested.

Just know that you do not have to exercise to loose weight, but it is a plus. You can read up how the exercise calories works with MFP calorie deficit should you be interested.

Also when selecting an exercise to do, make sure it is something you will enjoy doing otherwise it may become a chore and not sustainable.

It works for me ... MFP uses a standard reliable calculation to provide you with target macros based on your stated age, weight, activity level and loss goal. You'd get pretty much the same thing no matter where you did your calculation.

There are really good articles about these questions you have on the BLOG 'Hello Healthy'. I suggest you check it out for discussions on exercise, and other weight loss topics. the link is below,

As for a quick answer to your questions before you check into those articles I mentioned above ...

The bottom line to losing weight is to use up more calories than you take in; even without exercise you will lose weight if you eat at a deficit of what you expend. That said, there is a lot more to it than that because the quality of food you consume matters for good nutrition and health, and how low you go on the defiicit side between eating less and exercising more.

As for what exercise you do ... any movement that you like that fits into your lifestyle is pretty much the answer. The activities you choose need to be ones you will be able to continue doing, even after you have reached your goal weight. Some activity that stresses your muscles is good for toning ... stretch bands, weights, gosh ... even digging and hauling dirt in the back yard! Aerobic exercise burns more calories and makes your heart and lungs more efficient and that can come from dancing, walking, bike riding, running ... either at home or in a gym. How much should you do and how often? The medical field suggests 30 to 60 minutes a day for at least 5 days out of the week ... with a mixture of activities during those times.

    Good luck.
Tip ... Plan your work, work your plan.
