Aging IS NOT on my side

I'm a hairstylist, while I used to be the skinny mini/eat whatever I want and never gain a pound young stylist with the willpower of a saint whenever I DID choose to go on a diet of some sort, I'm struggling now with the willpower part as I get older. Now I am surrounded by these young kids joining the industry who eat pizza like its a snack, and I'm sitting there eating my salad. And they say not even 20 minutes later "Nikki, I'm ordering..need lunch?"...that salad WAS my lunch. And I struggle. And then murmur an order.
What am I doing? At this point in life I even look at a bag of chips and my thighs rub for a week!
Needing some major motivation!

Age is not a factor. At 53 I lost 50 lbs. When they ask for you order, you say no thank you I ate already.0

Would it help to hear how others generate willpower?0

Eat multiple small meals. It keeps you from getting hungry between meals.0

You know the difference between you at 26 and you at 18?
You naturally move less. Your life is more sedentary than it used to be. Change that
You also know what you like more and have more disposable cash so whereas that pizza is the only thing the "young kid" gets to eat, you're going out to dinner, out for drinks, grabbing take out etc
Quit driving and walk everywhere
Start planning your food better
Hit the gym and do some weight resistance ...yeah lift heavy stuff and put it down again
And if you think you're aging at 26 you're doing it wrong :bigsmile:0 -
Well, it sounds like you found your inner reason to change. You already have the motivation... Embrace it... Fighting it won't help.
We all age... I decided I was not going to be that old fat guy before my time. And it is working....what will you do?

I met this lady in my Ironman triathlon days and I thought she was awesome.

And a friend of mine met Sister Madona Bruder at Kona... She is also utterly amazing.

I actually find Ernestine inspirational and cloying at the same time...her style does not suit my sensibilities really
But those two ...I love them ...thanks for sharing @CollieFit

I laughed when I read that Sister Bruder did her first triathlon in Ireland on a borrowed man's bike and did the swim with no wettie, describing the water as "darn cold"! What a character!!!!0
