Hey :-). I'm just looking for some advice on routines that you have used that worked best for you at the gym. The best equipment to use? Weight training? How long for each? Any input would be great :-). Thank you :-)

It all depends on what your goals are. Different routines will help you achieve different results. Personally I'm focusing on gaining strength. Almost anyone would agree StrongLifts 5x5 is a great beginner routine that will help you take advantage of beginner strength gains. It has worked well for me so far. For this routine (and I would say in general) stay away from too many machines. Working with barbells will allow you to work stabilizing muscles and not require you to perform unnatural movements. Also, as a beginner i would suggest keeping workouts to a 45-60 minute timeframe. You can up volume after your body is ready for it. I personally lift 3x a week and cardio 2x a week. Now that the weights are getting heavier I may need to cut down on the cardio as i feel less performance output from my legs during squats.
