I weigh 149lb and ideal goal to reach is 130. As per mfpal my target calories should be around 1300 daily. I am below that for the past week. But when I hit the "Complete Entry" it gives me a "you will weigh 145 or worse 146lbs by end of next 5 weeks".
How is that possible? If I am hitting the calories intake that mfpal is recommending then how will I not reach that goal

You will reach that goal but it will take longer than 5 weeks. Weight loss takes time! Just through eating you will loss a pound or two a week so it might take around 8- 19 weeks or longer for you to reach ur goal!0

The "predicted result" MFP gives you after completing your food journal for the day is notoriously inaccurate. It's really to the point that a lot of people (myself included) don't even complete it at the end of the day because it just gets obnoxious. There was a post the other day where it actually gave them a higher predicted weight - and they're on a decent deficit.
I would ignore it. Stop completing your daily entries if it becomes too distracting or discouraging (completing your entries really does nothing anyway). Just recognize that it's highly inaccurate for a good majority of people.0 -

Yes it is very annoying so I am just going to use the input for daily calories to make sure I am on track on my calorie intake.0 -

Weight loss is based on consistency. Stay dedicated and be patient. Adding an exercise routine will create more of a deficit and lifting may increase definition/muscle which therefore helps burn even more cals.0 -
Is it telling you that you will lose about a pound a week? That's probably about right. You may lose more, but you don't sound like you have very much to lose.0

Good points. You are right, patience is key, I got a bit out of wack wondering how in earth would I weigh 149 after 5 weeks .
Yes one lbs a week is fine with me. I have successfully maintained my weight over 2 years and sometime before that I was at a healthy weight. A year or two of unhealthy habits added the 20lbs. oh well, lesson learnt.
I do walk 40 min, 5 days a week. Tried running but as an overpronator having the worst luck with shoes. I used to use Nike Equalon 4 (anyone remember that?) but cannot find a good replacement.

I wouldn't pay any attention to what it says, I never found it to be accurate. I might lose more, or less, but I don't ever remember it being exactly what I was projected to weigh 5 weeks later. It's not going to take into account water weight fluctuations, lost fat replaced with muscle from working out, the weight of the food in your body at any given minute, or any other number of things that would effect your number on the scale.
It can also change whenever you log a change in your weight, so you could conceivably see one set of numbers one day, weigh in with a loss, and see an entirely different projection the next day when you complete your entries. Annoying, so I don't even bother.0
