Pacer pedometer app

Hi there. I recently downloaded the pacer pedometer app on my Android phone. It tracks steps and syncs it with mfp. And at the end of the day it adjusts calories accordingly. Now my question is , when I run, should I add this as an exercise on mfp or let the app sync the steps . ? Like for eg today I ran for 35 mins. The app counted it as nearly 3000 steps and showed the calories burned lower than what mfp usually shows. I ended up walking 7000 steps today and after the sync I got nearly 600 extra cals!( I have set mfp activity level at sedentary. )So now I am confused as to whether I should eat back all the extra cals or just 50% of it like I previously did. Sorry if I am rambling.

If you're using the phone while you run and syncing this with MFP then just count that and don't worry about logging the running.

Eating back the calories? 600 calories sounds pretty fair for that amount of effort. I would start with eating that back and if it stalls your weight loss then back off how many of those calories you eat back. Trial and error.
