I've been following the 25% calorie reduction on the scoobys workshop site since Jan 6, and I must say it's incredible...I am down the exact amount of weight it said I would be. 1.4 lbs per week on the nose and I'm finding it super doable. I wish I had done this sooner instead of struggling on and off with trying to stick to 1200 cals. Just an FYI!

This will be true for many people. Some people may find that the estimation is off (overestimated activity/exercise can affect everyone, but some people just have naturally higher/lower BMR than the estimate used). If they adjust based on real life results they will get exactly the results they expect.

I follow Scooby on FB and read a lot on his site. He's got some good information there.

Love his wall of shame. I wish he would update it more often, but one could probably set up a website simply orbiting that one topic and it would be huge.

I find his calculators to be a really good tool. I still don't treat it as a "bible" for knowing exactly how much I should be eating, but it definitely seems accurate to me based on my results. It's also nice for using to see in the future (e.g. how much I'm going to burn with x exercise when I manage to lose 20 more lbs).

I find that the people are at fault for over estimating their activity level, and then blame the site. I love scoobycalculator
