Hey everyone.. I jumped on the scales tonight and found that I gained 1.5lbs calories have been stuck too in fact I think I was way below calories this week. The only playing factor was maybe that aunt flo made her appearance today. Do other ladies jump up that much in water from it? Or have I got to reassess my accuracy of logging?

Women experience hormonal fluctuations that can cause water weight gain both at ovulation and the onset of their periods. For a woman with a 28 day cycle that means you could see hormonal water weight gain every two weeks. Nothing to be alarmed about. Also, weight fluctuates from day to day. Sometimes, I am 3 pounds up from the day before. I think it is pretty normal for most people.0

What they said. Plus if you normally weigh in the morning, evening weight tends to be higher due to food and liquid intake. That's why it's best to pick one time and stick to weighing then.0

No I weigh in the evenings at a sw class.. so it's the same time every week0

It's so deflating. I do body combat 4 times a week every week. I burn about 500 cals a time according to my hrm. I stay within calories although this week my snack choices have not been the best
I lean towards biscuits the week before aunt flows arrival lol. But I can't see why I shouldn't have lost just a little. Why is why I'm hoping on the fact that it is just water0 -
There's absolutely no reason to be deflated over this. It's normal biology. Get used to it.0

Because our weights fluctuate every single day. TOM will do this. A meal heavy in sodium/carbs will do this. New or increased exercise will do this.
Read this thread by @jemhh, where she goes more in depth with the posts she's given you so far. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10084670/it-is-unlikely-that-you-will-lose-weight-consistently-i-e-weight-loss-is-not-linear0 -
That's great thanks.. I've been told to knock body combst on the head for a week to see what that does. . But I'm struggling to understand why people would get bigger losses sitting about than say I would doing combat martial arts which I love by the way.. do I stick at it? What's also worrying is that my measurements haven't moved since November so it actually isn't doing me any good. Lol0

You weighed at night? Then that's just food/water in your belly. Weigh in the morning after you go to the bathroom.. and do it nekid.0
